Happy Birthday grumpy… and Happy Valentine’s Day.

It’s a special day, but you’re even more special to me. Your endless love for me that you never fail to express and remind me, I’m so thankful. Through my darkest days and even my brightest ones, you never fail to love me. I’ve always been a cheerful person, but you give me happiness like no one else, believe it or not. A lot of people easily overlook you as someone mean and people are easy to jump to conclusions, assume a lot of things. But you don’t care, you don’t care what people think of you and of us, and I adore you for that, for not letting what people say get to you. And although you were mean to them, I’m so happy to see how much you’ve grown, and the friends that you make. You always believed that nobody would want to be your friend, but I always knew that that wasn’t the case. You are a good person, a good friend, a greater dad, and even greater lover… We’ve been through all the good and all the bad together and I’d still go through a million more things with you. Things aren’t the same right now, I know, but.. what i feel never change, even when I’m not feeling like myself. Thank you for coming into this world, existing, and choosing me to be your forever. I got you a few things…Cute shaped chocolates because I know Hayul’s going to be the one eating them, a new pair of glasses that I think would look good on you, a denim jacket to add a pop of color to your mostly monochromic wardrobe…a moon necklace that matches my sun one because..it’s cute…and finally, my attempt at baking a birthday cake that matches the necklace.

/he whispers after listening intently to everything that you said, his eyes watering but he can’t help to form a small, soft smile on his lips. His palms reaches down to cup your cheeks, and he lets his thumbs gently wipe away the tears straining down your cheeks.

When we got together two years ago, my whole world just changed in an instant. Somehow you just managed to love me like I’ve never been loved before. Even through everything, through my breakdowns and anxieties and even after I left, you’ve never failed to remind me just how loved I am… even when I’m in my lowest, even when I feel like I don’t deserve any kinds of loving. I didn’t expect anything when I returned, I knew I hurted you more than I have before, but even so… You were still there for me. Just like how I kept myself close to you back then when we were just paired, you did the same now. You didn’t give up on me, and even though it was already difficult for you, you still gave me what I needed to heal.
